FAQ

Which platforms are supported?

Presets for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Telegram, WhatsApp and LinkedIn, plus a custom option for any profile URL.

Do I enter a username or a full link?

Either. Type @name and the generator builds the proper profile URL for the chosen platform; a pasted link is used as is.

Where does the platform logo come from?

It is placed into the centre automatically for known platforms, and you can replace it with your own image at any time.

Social profile QR code links, app handoff and limits

Capacity and limits

The code holds one profile address, so the payload stays short whichever platform you choose. Long share links with referral parameters are the exception — they add density without adding anything a printed code can use.

Device compatibility

Scanning opens the profile in the platform's app when it is installed and in the browser when it is not. In-app browsers inside other social apps sometimes render a signed-out view, which is why the address should work for visitors who are not logged in.

Common mistakes

  • Encoding a link copied from inside the app, which can be a session-specific address rather than the public profile.
  • Pointing at a post instead of the profile, so the code stops working the moment that post is archived.
  • Changing the handle after printing — profile URLs follow the handle, and the old one usually stops resolving.

Printing and placement

Event signage and retail displays are read from one to three metres, so scale accordingly. Print the handle as text under the code: people who already follow you will type it rather than scan.
